MONTANA WARRIORS ON THE WATER SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Our major trip is the annual “Fort Peck Tour” that brings 15 to 18 veterans from all over the United States into Montana for a week-long fishing trip on Fort Peck Lake. It is a coveted trip among the veteran community. We have received literally hundreds of applications over the years. This trip’s expenses include transportation, lodging, and all meals. We are very appreciative of any amount and/or items we receive to help in our efforts to make this fishing trip an experience of a lifetime and one our veterans will never forget! The personal connections made during these trips have resulted in lifelong friendships and support and ultimately in saving lives. You and your donation are making a difference!
We also host a veteran Cow Elk Hunt held on donated property near Big Timber, Montana. We bring out 4 Montana veterans for several days to hunt cow elk and turkeys. We target veterans that have never harvested an elk. Many have benefited from this hunt in providing food for themselves and their family. As with all of our sponsored trips, this hunting trip is provided free of charge to the veterans with the generosity of donors and volunteers.
We are now offering a women’s retreat fishing trip over the Labor Day weekend at Rock Creek Marina on the Dry Arm of Fort Peck Lake. It is a 5-day trip consisting of numerous activities targeting our nations female heroes.
We put on several fundraising events throughout the year with none bigger than the benefit auction held at the end of the Fort Peck Tour at Fort Peck, Montana (near Glasgow). This is our major fundraiser for the entire year and provides us with the majority of funds we require to continue offering recreational opportunities for our veterans. We are hoping to expand our fundraising efforts, including this sponsorship drive.
In addition, we host several fundraisers throughout the year, such as Rock Creek Poker Run fundraiser at the Rock Creek Marina on Fort Peck Lake over Labor Day Weekend coinciding with our Rock Creek Ladies Veteran Retreat. We have also been blessed with other groups putting on fundraising events on behalf of MWOTW to support our veterans. All of these fundraisers and efforts reflect the fact that it truly “takes a village” to continue to honor our Nation’s veterans by giving back. Every donation no matter how big or small is truly appreciated!
